Testimonials

Below are some of the words shared by our past volunteers.  Don’t just take my word for it when I say GOAT Volunteers is your best choice for volunteering abroad.  Listen to the people who have trusted me with their international volunteer placement!

Sally Dexter (United Kingdom)

September 2019  |  Ghana – Teaching project

Sally Dexter UK“I’ve just had the most amazing three weeks teaching in Ghana. It was my first solo travel, and the first time I have volunteered. GOAT Volunteers were brilliant from my first, somewhat hesitant, enquiry, through to local knowledge when I got there.  Thank you GOAT!” (via Facebook recommendation)

Dr. Selena Judon-Monk (USA)

June 2019  |  Costa Rica – Health Care project

Dr Selena Judon-Monk“The info on the website about your personal experience, transparency, and working directly with NGOs was a major reason we considered this program.” (via email)

Lori Coleman (USA)

March 2019  |  Spain – Environmental Conservation project

USA volunteers profile photo“I searched high and low for the right opportunity to volunteer abroad, and am beyond thrilled I found GOAT Volunteers. We did the Environmental Conservation program in Valencia, Spain. It’s one thing to be a tourist and learn via a headset or your bus driver. It’s another to get to know people working in the field, get your hands dirty, literally, and learn in the field. Over two weeks, we made friends, made a difference, and learned a ton along the way. Initially, my husband wasn’t thrilled with using his vacation time to volunteer, but he ended up loving it as well! We did a little sight-seeing on this trip too, but honestly, the volunteer work was the best part of it all. If you want a deeper understanding of a culture, I highly recommend this program.” (via Facebook recommendation)

Anja Geipert (Germany)

January-February 2019  |  Ghana  |  Medical Internship

“My Hosts were great! They made sure I had the best time as possible in Ghana.  The project itself was also a good experience and broadened my mind.  I could gain a good insight into the Health Care System of Ghana and the work of the stuff in the hospital.

There was nothing I would say I didn’t like.  It was a bit different from my expectations (e.g. working independently), but it was OK how it was and you have get used to the local circumstances. In the end, I gathered the best experience as possible.” (via volunteer satisfaction survey)

Lauren Lindner (USA)

October 2018  |  Ghana  |  Teaching project

03 - Lauren - USA“Everything was exceptional. I loved that they had activities for us to do all the time and even visit other projects.” (via volunteer satisfaction survey)
