Study Abroad Volunteering with GOAT Volunteers
In March 2019, I received a volunteer inquiry from Dr. Selena Judon-Monk, Assistant Professor at Saint Augustine’s University in Raleigh, North Carolina. Selena wanted to incorporate a study abroad volunteering component to her Summer Global Health course and came across GOAT Volunteers during a web search.
After reviewing GOAT Volunteers’ project offerings, Selena selected the Health Care Volunteering in Costa Rica project for herself and two students.
“The info on the website about your personal experience, transparency, and working directly with NGOs was a major reason we considered this program.” – Dr. Selena Judon-Monk (June 2019)
Recently, Dr. Judon-Monk published an article on Course Hero explaining how she’s taking a “multi-pronged approach increase the number of students at Saint Augustine’s University who participate in study abroad.” Click the link below to read her article:
It was an absolute pleasure to help Selena and her students experience volunteering abroad and I’m honored for GOAT Volunteers to be mentioned in such a meaningful article.
