Teaching in a Pre-school in Sri Lanka

Do you think little kids are the cutest thing ever?  Obviously!  If spending time and caring for the littlest of humans makes you absurdly happy, then this project was made for you!  You’ll spend your time teaching in a pre-school in Sri Lanka by helping underprivileged kids with their communication skills and overall development.  It’s guaranteed to be one of the most rewarding experiences of your life.

Teaching in a Pre-school in Sri Lanka

If you want a hands on experience working with children then this is the opportunity for you!  Volunteers help children from disadvantaged homes.  This project works primarily with kindergarten and day care-age kids that require an additional level of care.  Volunteers will teach, play with the kids, help with the kitchen duties for meals, assist in cleaning the classroom, and teach the kids basic social skills.  You will work on teaching them the alphabet, numbers, and arts & crafts while making learning fun!

As the schools our NGO partner supports often lack resources, volunteers are encouraged (but not required) to bring donations of school supplies or to raise funds to help purchase supplies, clothing, and other necessities locally when in Sri Lanka.  A little bit goes a long way in these schools, so any contributions are greatly appreciated and welcomed!
