15-day Nepal Community Service Cultural Tour

If the thought of trekking in the Himalayas, performing community service, and seeing some of the most beautiful cultural sites in Nepal appeals to you…this is your tour!  The 15-day Nepal Community Service Cultural Tour blends an extensive amount of cultural immersion activities with a week of community service projects.

  • Day 1: Kathmandu – Arrival and transfer to accommodation
  • Day 2: Kathmandu – Cultural orientation & basic Nepali language lesson and sightseeing (Monkey Temple)
  • Day 3: Kathmandu – Sightseeing tours (Boudhanath stupas, Kirtipur temples, traditional Newari dinner and cultural dance)
  • Day 4: Nagarkot – Transfer to Nagarkot (on a clear day you can see Mt. Everest), nature walk, Changu Narayan Temple
  • Day 5:  Kathmandu – Return transfer to Kathmandu
  • Days 6-11:  Kathmandu – Community service projects (painting classrooms/murals in orphanage or government schools, community clean-up, etc.)
  • Day 12: Pokhara – Transfer to Pokhara
  • Day 13: Pokhara – Full day of activities: hiking to Shanti Stupa (Peace Pagoda), Phewa Lake, and visits to Tal Barahi Temple, Pokhara Bat Cave, and Davis Falls
  • Day 14: Kathmandu – Return transfer to Kathmandu
  • Day 15: Kathmandu – Departure day
